I am focused on backend and platform engineering, especially reliable systems, AI-connected workflows, and the engineering habits that make complex software easier to operate, debug, and reason about.

I am also continuing to refine the Obsidian-to-Hugo publishing flow behind this site.

I play table tennis two or three times a week. It is one of the few activities where I can feel improvement through repetition, timing, and tiny corrections.

I also like cycling, cooking, and getting outside on the water. I hold a Singapore kayaking 2-star certification.

Two songs I keep coming back to because they carry a kind of vitality I like:

They do not deny the hard parts of life: failure, aging, illness, loss, and the ordinary weight of reality. But they still move. That feeling matters to me: seeing clearly, not pretending, and still choosing to go forward today.

One small personal milestone: I put a surprising amount of effort into getting my Singapore driving licence. Getting a Chinese driving licence felt much easier by comparison.
